Turning a Home Into a Palace

I love luxury. Lush, “lave”, whatever you can call it, I love it. In my youth, I was enamored with the allure of the fast-money, glitzy, glamorous lifestyles of high society. I wanted to be one of them. I used to want to be a part of their circles. Now, in my wisdom, I’d rather create my own circle and build from there. It all starts with a palace. In your palace, you can create the family of your dreams. Your Soul Tribe. I’ll talk more about that in another entry. But I wanted to get into some ways you can turn your ordinary home into a lavish, spiritual palace that curates a warm, high-frequency atmosphere around you and your loved ones. These are just a few I thought of myself. Some of these, I’m going to implement in my own home.

Before we even start buying furniture…well, for one, make sure you have your list of all the nice things you wanna buy. I like modern-looking black and gold furniture. Preferably metal and leather. They're more durable. But some bamboo or other wood furniture for the bedrooms would fit too. At least, in my palace. You can buy the furniture first, I suppose. But the main thing to be concerned with is the overall atmosphere. How does each room look? What can be improved before setting the furniture? How does the light look coming through the windows, or curtains? What kind of curtains would look best?

Now, you don’t have to turn into the World’s Greatest Interior Designer, but having a good sense of color, balance, location, and a few other things we should’ve learned back in art class. I’m actually sharpening up my graphic design skills so I can make it another source of income. I may start part-time, but I really want to make it full-time. Maybe side-to-side with True Soundz and Truly Yourz. We’ll see what happens. Don’t wanna give away too much of what I’ve got planned. Prying eyes read these blogs.

Anyway, atmosphere. After the furniture’s been set, this is usually the best time to go ahead and scent-up the palace. Each room needs either all the same fragrance or a nice, smooth blend of different fragrances for each room. I like to experiment with both from time-to-time, letting the whole palace air out before each round of scent-ups. And a “scent-up”, for clarification, is just adding your fragrances to a room, in various manners, such as: incense, aroma diffusers, socket fresheners, candles, sage, or herbs. Scent can be very impactful. Depending on what scents you use, you can create different moods for each room. One could be for relaxing, one could be for meditation, one could be for sleeping, another could be for “mating”. It’s all up to you, Ruler of the Palace.

Home rules. Everyone needs ‘em. Think about it, your mother probably told you as a youth whenever you went over to other people’s homes, “don’t act a damn fool.”. And that stands true in our own adulthood. Think about people’s energy, too. You don't want just anyone coming into your home. So the best way to keep your home in the atmosphere of a palace, you need to set rules in place. Whomever follows these rules are the people who may enter your home.

I have a few rules myself, and they’re very basic. Clean up after yourselves, no drama of any kind, not even in conversation. No discussions of politics, religion, or anything else that doesn't equate to a dollar amount. No fucking without me fucking, and when you fuck, do it in a designated room, not just anywhere. Have some manners. But yeah, very basic stuff. I like to keep it that way because I myself am quite a rebel when it comes to rules. I’ve never liked authority, nor have I ever really been fond of the idea of a nation of people being confined to the no-gos of a small class of people, but I digress.

Set those rules in place. Moreover, make sure that it's all being done in respect of one another. Your only goal is to maintain a peaceful space within your sanctuary. If no one else can respect that, then that’s their problem and they can either take it or leave it. And if you’ve ever been through the hurdles of house-hopping, as I have before, please, PLEASE don't use those bad past experiences as justification for being a bad host yourself. It’s never worth it and it doesn't resolve anything. If anything, it just makes you feel worse about those experiences in the long-run. Ha, I have some experience in that as well…

A beautiful garden. Shut up, men, listen up. There’s nothing that screams “luxury” like walking outside on a gorgeous, sunny day, and strolling into your backyard garden full of all the freshest fruits, vegetables, plants you could grow. An abundance of nature right in your backyard and it’s all just for you. Picking any ingredients you may need for a good breakfast. Or a meal for later. Squeezing yourself a tall glass of orange juice from a nice, plump orange you picked right out of the garden. Basking in the sun with your juice, breakfast, and a lovely view of your garden all within the serenity of your palace. Now, that sounds like heaven.

Gardening as a hobby can be very fulfilling and leisurely. It takes patience and gardening is a great way to hone that patience and learn more about this big green planet we call home. I once started a small garden of my own. It was indoors but I’m gonna start up again and make sure these get their proper nutrients from outside. Plants are just like us. They need food, shelter, sun, and regular care in order to grow to their strongest and healthiest. A beautiful garden in your space can be an inspiring mirror of reality for you, showing the harmonic balance between the Life of Nature and the Life of Us. Buy some supplies, buy some seeds, buy some soil, and start gardening.

One last thing I can think of is sustainable living. This kinda goes with everything I already said, but to go more in-depth, sustainable living is the process of living completely by your own means. That means no Walmart, no fast food, no grocery stores even, no gas stations, no phone companies, no wifi companies, no NOTHING. The planet is abundant in resources, for anyone to try and sell you the idea that there’s a bunch of shortages going on around the world, is doing just that, trying to sell you something. Never buy it. Only buy what you need to survive on your own terms. Then by surviving, you will be able to actually LIVE.

It only took a few generations for the mass population of people in America to totally forget how to build things, plant and harvest, craft things, and many other trades that built this nation to what it is now. At least, in the scale of landmarks and overall infrastructure. The economy’s seen better days. So has society. But, it only took a few generations of major corporations gradually sinking their teeth into every facet of our everyday lives for us as a people to, for the most part, completely forget our roots and all of our skills and trades that were once common practice in this country.

I won't get too into how that all happened, but my point is, we need to get back to living for ourselves and doing for ourselves. These companies are all crashing down around us so it’s only a matter of time before we have to start tapping back into our roots anyway. Like, it’s not even a matter of discussion anymore, if you wanna be really real about it. But, I’m not here to fearmonger. That’s actually the best case scenario for us. Imagine not having to worry about paying your bills anymore because all the fucking utility companies went bankrupt. But then, people will panic because they don't know how to get their own running water, make their own plumbing systems, forage for food, GROW their food…people don't have many of these skills anymore. So they’ll panic. And then the “heroes” step in and “save” everyone. Again, I digress.

Grow your own food, build your own structures, curate your own communities that can grow into kingdoms, then nations. It all starts with us. Do you want to be the man/woman of the house, or the God/Goddess of the Palace? Choose wisely, and live wisely.

That’s all for today. Thanks so much for tuning in to read my thoughts once again. I truly appreciate and am grateful for every viewing eye that reads these. It makes me feel very blessed to know that there’s people out there that support what I do and what I stand for. Peace and Love, stay tuned for the next one,a nd stay true. Always.

  • Sincerely yours, Mr. Mogul 💎
